The inland dental center team
Dr. Anthony Boyd has been practicing dentistry in Southern California since 1990. He completed his primary, secondary, and advanced education in Loma Linda, California and is a 1990 graduate of Loma Linda School of Dentistry.
In 1993, Dr. Boyd joined Inland Dental Center in San Bernardino as an associate, later becoming a partner and in 2000 purchased the practice with Boyd Dental Corporation. Under their guidance, Inland Dental expanded, adding additional offices in Highland (2006) and Heritage Court-Indio (2007).
Dr. Boyd has been married 16 years and has 3 beautiful children, a son and twin daughters. He and his wife, Caroline are very involved with the children’s school activities and interests. Dr. Boyd serves as a member of his son’s School Board.
Having homes in Redlands and Indio allows Dr. Boyd to pursue his passion for ulta-endurance cycling year-round here in the Valley. He also enjoys water and snow skiing with his family.
Dr. Boyd is a member of the California Dental Association, Tri County Dental Society, American Dental Association, and the American Academy of Dental Group Practice. He supports Canine Companions for Life and is a Panel Lecturer at the Loma Linda School of Dentistry.
Dr. Farid A. Zurmati grew up in the Northern Virginia area. He graduated from the Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia School of Dentistry in Richmond Virginia with distinction in 1998. He has been practicing dentistry for approximately twenty years. He considers himself to be on high moral grounds, and conducts himself with the highest professional and ethical standards. He practices dentistry with a passion for perfection and standard of care. Among his many accomplishments, Dr. Zurmati has opened and operated two practices successfully in the Northern Virginia area. He has many years of experience both as an associate dentist and as a practice owner. Dr. Zurmati’s ultimate goal is his patients’ satisfaction. Dr. Zurmati has been an active member of the Academy of General Dentistry since 1999, and has been engaged in numerous Dental Seminar courses in order to enhance his clinical and professional skills.
Dr. Zurmati is happily married and has two children. His daughter is eleven years old and his son is six years old. At his leisure time, he loves to engage in sports, such as volleyball, bowling and fitness. Dr. Zurmati is a great chess-player as well. In addition, he is passionate about reading non-fiction and historical books. Dr. Zurmati is fluent in Farsi, Dari, Urdu and Hindi.
His commitment to excellence and constant vigilance in the dental industry is a testament to his abilities as a dentist and clinical skills.
Dr. Zurmati recently moved to California due to family obligations. He intends to continue his dedication and hard work for his patients in the many years to come.
Dr. Melvin Glick is a graduate of the University of Illinois. After graduation he served in the United States Army and was honorable discharged as a Captain. He was in private general dentistry practice in Chicago and later in San Jose, California. While in Illinois he served as a state board dental examiner for licensure. He also appeared on radio and television programs in Northern California as both host and speaker and has written articles for various newspapers and magazines. Dr. Glick moved to the Coachella Valley in 2000 and has been a member of the Inland Dental Team since 2010. He remains Clinical Assistant Professor of Dental Medicine at Western University Dental School in Pomona, California and continues as a guest lecturer at dental meetings.
In 2010 Dr. Glick worked with Desert’s Friends of the Developmentally Disabled to start a dental practice for the developmentally challenged and disabled. He volunteers as a dentist and serves as administrator.
Dr. Glick is married with two grown children and three grandchildren.
Dr. Victor Cuccia studied at the University of Southern California and received his dental degree from Creighton University School of Dentistry in Nebraska. After graduation, Dr. Cuccia opened an office in Los Angeles where he practiced dentistry for 35 years. When his son graduated from dental school, they began another practice together in Pasadena.
In 2005 Dr. Cuccia relocated to the Coachella Valley, supposedly to retire. Fortunately, his passion for dentistry led him to associate for many years with a practice here in the desert and ultimately join the IDC Team of Professionals.
Dr. Cuccia is a lifelong learner with enthusiasm for staying up to date with the latest advances in dental care. He served on the Peer Review Committee with the Los Angeles Dental Society for 17 years. Currently he is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Los Angeles Dental Society, Coachella Valley Dental Society and the American College of Dentists.
Beyond dentistry, Dr. Cuccia enjoys golf, traveling and attending his grandchildren’s lacrosse and baseball games.
Dr. Cecilia Kao was raised in Northern California. She attended college in San Diego, California. Following graduation, she attended the University of California at San Francisco Dental School. After earning her DDS degree, Dr. Kao completed a Residency at the Loma Linda University in Loma Linda, California, where she received a Masters Degree in Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Kao entered into private practice in 2003. She is also a part time faculty member at Loma Linda University Department of Pediatric Dentistry.
She is a member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, and the California Society of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Kao has many interests outside of her dental specialty. As a dedicated wife and mother of three children, she also enjoys cooking, gardening, and riding her dirt bike.
Dr. Jeffory Eaton is a welcome addition to our Team. A graduate of the University of California, San Francisco School of Dentistry, his experience spans nearly three decades . Doctor Eaton will offer comprehensive dental services such as Invisalign, cosmetic procedures, restorative and dentures. He has the experience and skills to help even the most fearful patient achieve optimum dental health.
Not only is Dr. Eaton an excellent dentist, he also teaches at the University of California San Francisco campus as the clinical faculty instructor. A participant in numerous missions outside of the country, Dr. Eaton was named Volunteer Faculty of the Year by the Dean’s office in 1995 and by the students in 1995, 2001 and 2012 for his work with the homeless program. Most recently he received the 2017 Medal of Honor from UCSF Dental Alumni Association. He plans to continue working with UCSF on a part-time basis.
Dr. Eaton has relocated from San Mateo, California where he had a private practice named “Dentistry and All That Jazz”. The name makes sense when you learn that prior to dental school Dr. Eaton worked as a professional musician (Trumpet and Guitar) in Las Vegas, performing with musicians such as the Righteous Brothers, Lou Rawls, Dionne Warwick and Carlos Santana.
His passion for dentistry and gregarious personality are a welcome addition to our days.
Dr. Doug Cast earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from San Diego State University and his Doctor of Dental Surgery from Georgetown University.
Dr. Cast has a career dedicated to ongoing continuing education and was both a Clinical Instructor and Lecturer at the prestigious Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies. He has also lectured and taught dentists the clinical application of Botox® for TMJ and bruxism treatment.
Dr. Cast has his Fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry and has advanced training in cosmetic dentistry. lnvisalign, Implant placement, restoration and Dental Sleep Medicine (sleep apnea).
Dr. Doug Cast loves both the art and science of cosmetic dentistry and the art and science of baking. He is known for his unique take on gourmet cupcakes which are as beautiful as they are tasty. In fact, when Dr. Cast is away at a dental course, he spends evenings discovering local bakeries to compare and contrast their baking.
In October 2018, Dr. Cast’s grandmother passed away at the wonderful age of 107! That is not a typo. When she was a young woman in her 80’s she told her inquisitive grandson that the key to longevity was this, “You gotta keep moving/” Which is why Dr. Cast starts most days at 4:00 am in the gym. Dr. Cast and his wife Mary have been married since 1983. Mary is a teacher in Temecula and they have three grown children.
