Inland dental Center – pediatric dentistry
Our goal is to graduate a generation of cavity-free children
Pediatric Dentists are dedicated to the oral health of children from infancy through the teen years. They have the experience and qualifications to care for a child’s teeth, gums, and mouth throughout the various stages of childhood.
Children begin to get their baby teeth during the first 6 months of life. By age 6 or 7 years, they start to lose their first set of teeth, which eventually are replaced by secondary, permanent teeth. Without proper dental care,
children face possible oral decay and disease that can cause a lifetime of pain and complications.
Why see a pediatric dentist?
Dr. Ceilia Kao is specifically trained to identify, treat and prevent pediatric dental conditions. With our major emphasis being placed on the total development of the child, including his/her psychological and dental well-being. Aspects of extended training include growth and development of the patient’s teeth and mouth, child psychology and treatment of the chronically ill and handicapped children. Many parents select a children’s dentist just as they would a pediatrician, to assure that their child has the benefit of this additional experience.
Building self-esteem
As much as we love to see children smile, it’s just as important for every child to feelgood about their oral health; a healthy smile contributes to healthy self-esteem. However, we do more than just take care of teeth; we motivate children to take responsibility for their own dental health! That’s why we stress preventive dentistry and reach children proper brushing and flossing habits, as well as give them diet and nutrition tips. Nothing makes us happier than seeing our kids take pride in their smile.
